Below are the most common questions asked about Achieve Therapeutics:
Do you do massage?
The soft tissue treatment I offer clients -- to address sports injuries and/or joint pain, muscle stiffness, muscle pain, and other health conditions that appear simply from engaging in day-to-day activities -- goes beyond the typical massage treatment or standard massage therapy that you would get at a massage place.
I practice, and study, state-of-the-art, light touch soft tissue therapies based on the evolving science of soft tissue mechanics. These myofascial treatment techniques address restrictions and imbalances in the web of connective tissue throughout the body known as fascia. 90% of the myofascial work is done over your clothing.

Think of wearing a skin suit. If one area of the suit is pulled, the entire suit changes shape in response. This is how fascia reacts in the body, pulling adjoining tissues, creating imbalance and making normal movement more difficult. Some tissues now are strained, resulting in pain. Due to its mesh-like, layered structure, fascial restriction in one part of the body can be the root cause of pain in another by changing normal movement patterns. If massage therapy treatment or physical therapy treatment is focused only on the painful area, the cause may be missed, and the problem persists after many attempts to treat it. We offer myofascial release treatment and myofascial trigger point therapy that has greatly improved the lives and health of both athletic and non-athletic clients.
What are the most common problems you treat?
Whether their particular health condition or health concern is a result of engaging in sports activities, or simply daily life, I help people with a variety of issues including those which have not been relieved through other therapies, such as traditional PT (standard physical therapy) or typical massage. Such issues include back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, headaches, sports injuries, knee injuries, "pinched nerves", mobility restrictions (due to muscle spasm, strained muscles, and stiff muscles) and a host of other joint and muscle conditions.
Do you only treat athletes?
No, as explained above, my patients are regular people who, because of stiffened muscles, muscle soreness, joint pain, or some other physical condition, are experiencing difficulty resuming their normal activities and come in all shapes, sizes and ages.
