Often a misalignment of the foot contact with the ground can cause strain on the muscles of the lower leg, or on the knee and hip joints. A fitted insole can correct this misalignment and offer relief to chronic shin and knee pain.
ALINE insoles are designed to support the foot throughout the entire weight bearing phase, rather than just return the foot to a neutral position in standing. A laser system is used to correct alignment so that the weight is carried through the knee to the center of the ankle. The top photo is uncorrected. The bottom shows alignment after correction. (Note the orientation of the inside of the ankles in each photo.)
This correction is then built in to the insole. There are several types of insole inserts available, including ones with significant arch support depending on your activity and the degree of support you need. Your custom insoles can serve as shoe arch supports that you use in a variety of shoes and sneakers, eliminating the need to buy numerous pairs of shoes or sneakers with built-in arch support, i.e., “arch shoes.” Some* of the foot conditions/foot issues that can be lessened or resolved thru our custom orthotics/shoe supports/arch support insoles include:
